Worship of Ka’aba or something else?

by Saif min Suyufillah

1.When Kissing daughter or mother is a sign of respect and love and it is never the worship,so how could you think that kissing the black stone is its worship?

2.Bowing towards Ka’aba is just for direction as it is clarified that facing Ka’ba does not make you virtuous.

If it was actually the worship, then there would be no such verse mentioned.

Following is the verse mentioned regarding the direction of bowing or prayers.

Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.(2:177)

3.If it was really something divine to be worshiped, then there would be no other qibla else than Kaa’ba.However, the fact is that even Kaa’ba has not remained the only direction to face.
a.Bait ul Muqaddas was the direction before Kaa’ba
b.Even now anyone could pray facing any place other than Kaa’aba during journey.

Ibn ‘Umar, who said: “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to pray when travelling on his camel, no matter which direction it was facing, and he would gesture with his head to indicate the movements of the night prayer, apart from the obligatory prayers, and he would pray witr on his camel too.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 945)

4.It is also clarified that anywhere you face, you would find Allah so it denies the concept of Allah present in the Ka’aba or that the Ka’ba is being worshiped.

And to Allah belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn yourselves or your faces there is the Face of Allah (it means the presence of Allah and He is High above, over His Throne). Surely! Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knowing.(2:115)
